Colin Burnett, acclaimed photographer and close friend of The Voice, discusses the state of Hip Hop and its affects on the youth through his self-produced show: Sound Of Youth Hip Hop Special. Colin and his team of innovative thinkers interviewed an array of individuals within the Atlanta, Georgia area, getting their view points and opinions on Hip-Hop. Annsleigh, in pursuits to aid Colin in the launch of his first episode, was granted the chance to cast as “Poet”/ Visual Speaker for the show. Through a poem, written by Colin himself, she delivers the confusion and agony young adults face when battling with the question: Is today’s music positive or harmful to my subculture? A poet herself, Annsleigh displays her oratory skills, using diction, voice, and emotion to deliver the message Colin reiterates. Annsleigh is truly proud of her peer and enjoys seeing Mr. Brunett follow, take charge, and fulfill his dreams. Being surrounded by such individuals fuels her to work towards her own aspirations. She hopes that her entire generation will put forth an effort to make a difference and inspire.
